Malad Valley Upland Hunts (MVUH) offers an authentic hunting experience. We are a hunting preserve that provides hunters with an area of natural habitat which is theirs for the day. We encourage hunters to bring their own dogs so they can have an experience that is as close to wild as possible. Another unique feature about MVUH is that we do not require a membership. Our hunting season runs from August 15 to April 15.
Chukars are $15 per bird
Pheasants are $20 per bird
Please contact us for more information about hunting rates and to schedule a hunting experience with us.
The Idaho Fish and Game requires hunters to have a valid Idaho hunting license or nonresidents can purchase a shooting preserve permit from an Idaho Fish and Game vendor. We require hunters to wear an item of hunter orange clothing for safety.
Malad Valley Upland Hunts also has a line of quality English Setters. From time to time we have puppies and started dogs available. We currently have 3 male pups that are 6 months old. Owen (pictured below at 5 months) pointing a chukar is one of the 3 males currently available. His parents are pictured at right. Contact us if you are interested or want more information about our dogs.
